If the original Prodigio represented La Sportiva's break into the world of higher cushion, lightweight distance trail shoes, then the Prodigio Pro is their modern trail racer. Designed to tackle any distance with speed and responsiveness, the Prodigio Pro inherits the same underfoot stack height and heel-toe drop as the original Prodigio but utilizes lighter, higher-performance materials. A TPU core is embedded in the supercritical nitrogen-infused EVA midsole to offer increased responsiveness and energy return. With more spring in your step from this new midsole, Sportiva recognized the need for greater security and traction on the trails, which led to several upgrades. First, the midsole foam has been raised around the sides of the foot, forming a cage for additional stability in uneven terrain. Second, the outsole has been redesigned with Sportiva's proprietary Frixion White rubber for maximum grip in any condition. Third, the upper gets a new power wire mesh, saving weight and a secure lockdown from a sock-like midfoot fit. Finally, a knit ankle collar keeps debris from entering the shoe and offers a pleasant fit around the ankle. Whether you want to run 100 miles or PR in a trail half-marathon, the Prodigio Pro is fast and comfortable in a great-looking lightweight package.
SkyRun Fit Tip - La Sportiva running shoes run small, but stay consistent in their running line. We recommend sizing up one-half size from your measured size.
More responsive midsole for speed and efficiency.
The upper wraps the mid-foot, securing it inside a raised midsole cage.
Sticky Frixion White rubber with redesigned lugs for maximum grip in wet or dry conditions.
Tempo Ultra last offers a comfortable, distance-ready fit.
New outsole design wraps the metatarsal area for increased stability.
Initial impressions after about 40 miles in these on mixed trails - sized up a whole size, which felt pretty perfect. I have been running in the TNF Vectiv Pros for a years now and these are now my new favorite - I think the delta between carbon trail shoes and just foam is not really as big as people think - these shoes definitely prove that out - resilient and cushy over longer distances and you feel just less beat up. And they just fit so well (I have a wider foot and they are fine). The ankle seal is also spot on - so much better than competitors out there (have not tried the new Hokas so maybe as good) - quoting a Reddit reviewer: "These shoes f**k".
Hello, I have a wider forefoot and wear a size 13 in the Salomon S-lab Genesis and a 12.5 in the Nnormal Kjerag just barely fits with thin socks. For 100 mile races where foot swelling happens, what size do you think I would be in the La Sportiva Prodigio Pro and Norda 005?

Chad- I would suggest in the Prodigio Pro to go with the 48.5 and in the Norda 005 to go with the 13 as there is no 13.5.

This is an all-time trail shoe! There are a few key design elements that make this shoe stand out. It's got a wide forefoot base and stable midsole geometry, making you feel well-planted with every step. The laces have a little bit of give to them, meaning you can get a secure lockdown without a constrictive feeling. The upper and midsole work really well together to wrap around the whole foot. The ankle collar design actually works, keeping debris out without causing rubbing.

Hey there!
I wear an 11 in running shoes typically — eg in the Nnormal Tomir 2.0. Planning on getting on these for my first 100k. What size would you recommend for me do you think?

Hi Hunter!
You would likely do well in a 45, especially considering the distances in mind. If you'd like to discuss the sizing details further, send us an email at skyrun@skimo.co with some foot measurements. Thanks!

I’m a 46.5 in the mutant. Would the 46.5 in the Prodigio Pro work? Thanks!
Ryan, the fit will be the same in both shoes. However, you may want to size up if you size your Mutants to prioritize scrambling and such (small, performance fit). I size my Mutants for running, so there's ample space up front, and I wear a 43.0 in both shoes. I hope this helps.
I wear a size 46 in the La Sportiva Bushido III Wide, and the fit is pretty good. Would you recommend a size 46 for the Prodigio Pro too? Or would you recommend a 1/2 euro size up, like the fit tip states? Thanks!
Hi Barrett, we all size up for the Bushido and Prodigio Pro. The fit tip states to size up from your measured size; you should be able to make a lateral move in size from your Bushidos and have a great fit!

I sizes my prodigio pros up the next euro half size (43.5 prodigio but 44 prodigio pro) but I fall into the quarter US size, 44 euro is a 10.75 US and was dead-on for me. I ran a 50k with these straight out of the box and loved them. Will be LaSpo trail shoe going forward for big days. Pretty sure the lugs are 4.5mm on these. Prodigio Pros lugging and outsole are beasts! Super grippy and solid stability.
Hi Brian, I measure right at 42.5 and could get away with a 42.5 in the Prodigo, but it would be a race-style fit. I run in a 43.0 in the regular and Pro versions and both fit great. Everyone's desired fit is slightly nuanced, and I'm stoked you found the fit you love!
I measured all the lugs with calipers, averaging around 4.0mm. The lugs in the rear do measure 4.5mm, but the lugs in the front are 3.5mm or slightly shorter.
Chris, the Prodigio Pro is scheduled to be released on February 15th. Hopefully, we will have them in-store and be able to ship them then.

I think Prodigio Pro is a bit smaller than Prodigio for the same size. I wear 45.5 in Prodigio and the size feels very comfortable. The same size in Prodigio Pro feels too tight - my toes touch the front. I feel like I need to go up to 46.
