WP stands for waterproof, LC stands for low cut, and Tomir stands for an excellent shoe from an even more excellent brand. NNormal knows that not every trail is dry, smooth, and dream-like. Rain is a thing, rocks are a thing, and uneven terrain is definitely a thing in the trail-running world. Stay dry, debris-free, and well-centered in the Tomir WP-LC. Built on the platform of the NNormal Tomir, this shoe will deliver in tough conditions. Sporting 5mm lugs from a Vibram Megagrip outsole, grip won't be an issue in slick conditions. The 40k waterproof upper is made from a Sympatex® waterproof membrane and reinforced with ripstop material. NNormal created it, and Kilian Jornet approved it. You'll be checking the weather for a perfectly stormy day to enjoy the full effect of your new kicks.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve put these through 125ish miles of snot-slick basalt, calf deep slush, and mud that would make a pig farmer feel at home. I’m sold. I’ve run in other shoes that have used long lug Mega Grip outsoles (Speedgoat 5 most recently), and the tread pattern on the Tomir seems to provide more purchase in most of my running situations. The midsole is firmer than shoes I’ve recently run in with a similar stack height (e.g., Salomon Genesis) and are plenty responsive while still being protective. The waterproofing is solid, but isn’t quite as stormproof as some other laminates. The toe box is reasonably roomy and fits my normal-ish width feet well (I generally can’t make my feet work in S/Lab lasts). I plan on picking up a pair of Tomir 2s once things dry out around here. Stoked overall!
