A perfect pack for mid-country runs! The quality of Instinct packs is unprecedented. Zippers are not cheap plastic, bungees all have a big end piece you can manage with cold hands or gloves on, and no velcro tabs that pull apart mid-run (like my unsatisfactory previous 12l pack from another brand). The bottles sit high enough on the chest that you don't have to crane your neck to get a drink. The front pockets were designed really smart, so that the zip pocket doesn't crowd the other pouches when there is a phone in it. They also hold a ton of food! The small pockets above the bottles are perfect for storing keys and chapstick. The low wrap-around pocket on the back is awesome for stowing a jacket. Or you can use the top bubble to easily pull out layers or store gaiters or microspikes. I was very impressed how it's designed to rarely have to take off the pack. The back pouch is water resistant and great for stashing first aid kit, beacon, and anything you don't need often. There was a dedicated place for everything I bring running. I ultimately went with the 18L size after loading this size with a water bladder and a full amount of gear. It would have been manageable, but felt a little stuffed for my preference to have some extra space. Final accolades have to go to Instinct's one-size engineering; the stretch chord side panels are very easy to adjust and shrink down to your exact body shape, and allows for a comfortable, non-constricting fit. I'm 5'6 and pretty petite in the chest and waist and had no issues customizing the fit. Overall the pack might be a bit much for someone running mostly in front country on several-hour trips, but if you venture to more remote trails, spend half to full days out, or need to carry extra items for variable weather, this pack rocks.

Does the eclipse 12 come with the two flasks in the front? Also, how much water does the bladder in the back hold?

Hi William, this vest does indeed come with two soft flasks. It does not come with a bladder, but it does have a sleeve that you can put your own bladder in. Instinct lists the volume of the bladder sleeve at 2 liters.
