Carbs Fuel Original 50g Energy Gel

The biggest bang for buck you could possibly purchase. At $2 for 50 grams of easily digestible carbs it’s hard to beat. Yes it is not a “super jell” like a Maurten or similar but come on! I personally can’t justify eating Maurten every session- my bank account would collapse. They have a pleasant taste- somewhat bland but easy to take. The pull tab is easy to tear with one hand and a tooth but somehow they kept the tab long enough so you won’t drop it littering the woods with sticky wrappers. Having 50 grams in one jell makes it incredible easy to get the exalted 100 grams of carbs an hour. Hadn’t hit it until buying these jells. And let me tell you- it makes a difference. Now for my two complaints and the only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. The packaging has an irritating outside trim that feels bad in the hand and tends to get stuck in the pack and just takes up excess room. My only other complaint is that it requires water to take it. If you want something that fixes these two issues check out a Maurten Jell- just know you’ll pay for it. However- the best bang for your buck on planet earth. (At lest the nutrition earth)

These are really solid budget-friendly gels. Maurten are still my favorite, but these are much more affordable and easier to stock up on, and they pack a good punch. They definitely need to be taken with water, and can burn a little bit going down, but not bad. Totally worth it for the price.

If price was not a factor, I'd give these 4/5. But price is a factor, so five stars.
