The Scarpa Spin Ultra 2 is a great shoe. I spent all summer running 50 miles a week in Hoka Tecton 2 and Salomon S/Lab Ultra Glide. I started using these during Speedgoat, which I thought was going to be a risk, trying a new nutrition item right before a race. But it turned out great. I sweat a ton, and have quite salty sweat, so the higher dose is necessary for me. The flavor is plain, but smooth going down, and comes in 500ML doses, so easy to refill at aid stations. Overall, these are getting added to my daily run repertoire.

I have about 100 miles on a pair now and have been pleasantly surprised and happy with them. This is a quiver shoe, and not to be bought and used as your one shoe for everything. I complement these shoes with a pair of mutants for technical running, and tecton x2 for racing. I find the Salomons best for pure trail running, in Salt lake, that looks like the BST, Millcreek trails, and Alta running. The shoe is plush, stable and fits well.
