So far so good. I’ve raced a couple mountain races in these, including Mount Marathon, and they do what they’re made for. I have big legs and the width of the cuff is comfy. For longer runs, the liner might be a bit abrasive, but it’s been good up to 90 mins for me. Plenty of pockets. Well built shorts — they run a tad big.

Different strokes for different folks could be a common theme when talking about running shorts. For myself, I want to have ultimate range of motion and freedom with my pale thighs shining in the sunlight as I scamper through mountains in the central Wasatch range. Replace the Wasatch range with any mountain range and if the first statement applies to you then maybe the Dynafit Vert shorts will be right up your alley. With an athletic inseam (not too short), a breathable inner brief, drawstring, and several low profile pockets on the outside these shorts have everything I want and nothing more. Coming from a skiing background as well and having some meatier thighs I find that many trail and road shorts tend to have a rather tight fit on the thighs, but thankfully that's not the case with the Vert shorts. A nice “flair” taper keeps things flowing and looking like you’re not wearing spandex out on the trail. Light, comfortable, and fast (looking) is all I need out of my running shorts and the Dynafit Vert Shorts fit that bill quite nicely.
