  Size Chart

The Altra Lone Peak 8 is appropriately named after one of the most rugged and beautiful mountains in the Wasatch. This trail-running and through-hiking staple is now one iteration older. It retains the zero drop platform Altra is known for, which allows for a more natural gait, but it has received some nice upgrades. Because buttery smooth singletrack is rare, Altra added a durable ripstop mesh to the upper, which protects against brush and branches, increasing the durability and life of the shoe. Sticking with the MaxTrac™ outsole, the Lone Peak 8 will still offer the grip and stickiness we love, regardless of terrain or conditions. The unchanged Altra EGO™ midsole has excellent cushion and trail feel for long mileage days, and the addition of the StoneGuard™ plate underfoot will increase protection from rocks and roots. The fit and feel remain unchanged, but with the upgrades, the Lone Peak 8 sees added value and increased durability.

SkyRun Fit Tip - We have found the Lone Peak 8 to be true to size.

  • The MaxTrac™ outsole has the grip and traction needed for various types of terrain.
  • Altra's Original FootShape™ Fit allows for natural movement of your feet.
  • StoneGuard™ protects the foot while still providing great trail feel.
  • Ripstop mesh increases the durability of the upper.
  • Happy 8th birthday, Lone Peak.
