La Sportiva Cyklon Shoe - Women
When a legendary footwear maker brainstorms with the inventor of industry-changing lacing technology, it’s perfectly acceptable to expect radical results. And radical is what we got with the La Sportiva Cyklon. It is a trail running race shoe that enables competitors to literally dial in a perfect fit using the integrated BOA system. But don’t worry about wonky lacing in certain spots, the Spyral Tongue EVO ensures that the BOA’s tightening is evenly distributed. The mesh upper breathes freely, resist trail abuse, and stretches four ways to keep your feet happy in rowdy terrain. All of this is built on a fully capable race-oriented shoe. The midsole features lightweight Dual-density Memlex EVA and has co-molded medial/lateral stabilizing inserts. The outsole uses Frixion XF 2.0 Mudguard rubber for maximum grip on any terrain, especially soft trails. For further protection, La Sportiva threw in a Shockproof TPU toe cap. The Cyklon is a space-age looking shoe that offers ultimate stability and precision on demanding, technical short to medium distance race courses.
SkyRun Fit Tip - Order your typical European size for the proper length. We suggest sizing up one US half size if you don't know your Euro size.
- BOA with Dynamic Cage Construction closure system makes a perfect, comfortable race fit as easy as turning a dial.
- Spyral Tongue EVO prevents any annoying pain points.
- Dual-density Memlex EVA midsole is lightweight but still increases stability and protection.
- Highly breathable, abrasion-resistant 4-way stretch mesh upper is built to withstand trail abuse but still keep your feet comfortable.
- Frixion XF 2.0 Mudguard rubber outsole is decidedly grippy, especially on soft trails.

Questions & Reviews
The short answer is yes, they are still plenty stable. The boa can surprisingly snug down, we’ll see how durability is with that... The shoe also feels a bit thin and less protective than the mutants. Ive stubbed a toe or two, but nothing unacceptable.
The best thing about these shoes is the integrated gaiter is MAGICAL. In Anchorage we do a ton of scrambling and scree skiing, and despite 3-4 long scree descents i have only gotten one rock in my shoe that required removal.
So, in summary: stability like a mutant in a much lighter, slightly less protective shoe, like the racing equivalent of the mutant.
