The X-Bionic Terraskin X00/C is a super shoe built with the most advanced technology that can be stuffed into a trail runner. The U-shaped Powerlite Carbon plate gives spring-like liftoff to every stride and adds stiffness to help control the shoe on unlevel surfaces. Vibram Megagrip - the gold standard of running shoe outsole compounds - is used for the Spinweave® design, which utilizes a one-of-a-kind lug pattern for uncompromising grip on any surface. The Speedframe is nestled between the outsole and the energetic EVA. This cage-like wrapping encloses the midsole and part of the upper to provide robustness and stability so that your foot placement can be as confident on the 50th mile as on the 1st. Not even the insole was overlooked, as it is perforated for superior ventilation, allowing for airflow under the foot to keep your soles cool. Sold as a system, the X00/C comes with a pair of Terraskin Expert Socks. While you can use any sock with the shoe, you'd be missing out on features like the heel cage and Achilles protector (don't tell Hector), a padded toe cap to prevent bruises and blisters, and cooling stripes for enhanced airflow. The socks utilize Gripfix yarn to prevent any motion within the shoe, avoiding blisters and loss of precision through inner-shoe slop.
