CAMP Trail Force 2 Pack
Grandeur Peak is a popular 4.4-mile out-and-back on the edge of Salt Lake City, offering a vertical kilometer of climbing on its well-worn trails. Though it's a short distance, the effort involved typically requires bringing along some supplies. It's for quick occasions like this that the minimalist Trail Force 2 was invented. On the shoulder straps are two zippered pockets intended for a phone and accessories such as keys. Nearly as important are two soft flask holders, one for smaller flasks (300ml) and one larger (600ml). Below these you'll find elastic pockets for small items like gloves or snacks, while the side of the pack holds more space for goodies using zippered pockets. The back compartment is just large enough for a wind layer or a water reservoir, using a two-way stretch material to keep them packed down.
While all these functions are great, they would be pointless if the pack was a pain to wear. CAMP has resolved this issue by using a lightweight, breathable mesh with soft edging across the shoulder straps and back. The adjustment system also uses bungees with stoppers on the front and sides of the pack to stay cinched down. This means no angry welts where the pack has been strapped to your torso! There's no need to scorn those lugging hiking packs up your local training grounds, but there's no arguing the advantages of the Trail Force 2.
- Zippered accessory pockets on the shoulder straps and sides hold the necessities.
- Wide pockets on shoulders hang onto other niceties such as gloves.
- Two soft flask holders use elastic to prevent reservoirs from bouncing out.
- Back pocket uses elastic rather than zippers so you can drop things in or pull them out without removing your pack.
- Back pocket is hydration compatible.
- X-Press style carry attaches poles without requiring the pack to be removed.
- Front and side adjustment system is extremely lightweight yet secure.
- Shoulder straps and back use soft and lightweight 3D mesh to enhance comfort.
- Comes in two sizes, for runners 150-170cm or 175-195cm tall.
