Taylor- Black Diamond only makes the standard carbide tips for their running poles. Those tips usually do pretty well on ice, are yours still in good condition? Maybe they are getting worn out.

Julie, We have the replacement Distance Tech Tip. It doesn't look too damaged to replace. It does take some work and a heat gun to get that off.

Hi Kathy,
You need two sets of pliers to get a good enough grip, but they just unscrew and screw back on!

Are the Z pole trekking tips compatible with the BD Compactor ski pole? And will I need to purchase the rubber tip protectors separately?
William, Tough question, we do not have the Compactor poles here. They use a standard ski basket Ferrule, which I measured the pole diameter of the ones we have and it is 11mm. The Z running poles with this basket are 10mm. So doesn't look like it.
