Lightning is quick. One flash, one bang, and it's gone. The lightweight Lightning Waist Pack from Ultraspire is carefully thought out, quick, and simply designed. Unlike lightning, however, it's made to stick around. This particular option in the Pure Mountain Running series has been lightened up a bit over its very capable sibling. This version still utilizes the conical ErgoFit design, narrowing at the waist and widening at the hips for a bounce-free ride. Most belts have only one fit, and as liquids and fuel are consumed during activities, that fit will change. There's an included fix for that: rear compression bungees can be snugged up to not only accommodate your lightening load, but your personal biology as well. The rear pole carry is intuitive, and you can easily stow your sticks with gloves on in the middle of the night. Front and rear generously sized stretch mesh pockets store all manner of things while the two side hip pockets also store all manner of things; just smaller things. Immediately below your naval are a zippered pocket for valuables and a stash pocket for small items such as a couple of gels or trail trash.
