Dynafit Alpine Shoe - Women
The Dynafit Alpine women's shoe is so versatile we thought about just stocking this one shoe at SkyRun. Ultimately, we decided that wouldn’t make for a good business plan, but the sentiment still stands. Equally at home on a multitude of trail types and conditions, the Alpine is a safe bet when you’re exploring new spots and aren’t sure what to expect. Even if you do know what to expect, the Alpine will hold its own. So always grab the Alpine? Vibram lugs keep the tread gripping on a variety of surfaces, Alpine Rocker technology improves heel-to-toe motion, and seamless tongues eliminate chafing. All of this adds up to make for one helluva lightweight, responsive shoe that’s up to the task.
SkyRun Fit Tip - For Dynafit's Alpine trail running shoes we suggest sizing up one half to one whole US size for the best fit.
- Balance of cushion, protection and grip make this an excellent do-it-all option for your feet.
- Seamless tongue will help you avoid hot spots on those hot days...or any day really.
- Alpine Rocker profile supports a more natural gait for smooth heel-to-toe movement.
- Vibram outsole will hug the ground like Grandma during the holidays.

Questions & Reviews
I've taken them on loops that contain steep muddy trails, goat trails on ridges, off-camber tundra and rocks, icy tundra and rocks, swamp, scree, bushwhack, and gravel road all in a single run. Out of all of that I'd say they're great on most surfaces, good but not perfect on deep steep mud and smooth frosty rocks (hard things to get right), and feel a bit slow and heavy on the gravel road (which seems fine for a technical shoe).
Now I'm just waiting to see how their durability is -- I tend to either wear off the tread or blow through the sides of many shoes fairly quickly, hoping these will be decently durable
