With regular but minor tweaks since 2018, the Altra Timp 5 is one of those things. This model has been gifted with the addition of Vibram's Megagrip rubber, known for its excellent traction in wet or dry conditions, and it could be argued that it's the finest outsole you could put under your feet. The updated Altra EGO™ MAX midsole provides an ideal balance between a plush and enjoyable ride while maintaining responsiveness for those longer mileage outings. Keeping with Altra's Standard FootShape™ fit, the upper of the Timp 5 accommodates a variety of foot shapes. Of course, the standard zero-drop platform, which encourages proper foot striking and form, stays. Designed for middle to long-distance trail runners who do it all, the Altra Timp 5 is the supreme option.
