Hey super happy to hear it Matt! Since this review I did some additional ultra racing in the kjerag, as well as treadmill stuff during ski season, and have come to pretty much be an 95% of the time kjerag runner. They just seem to work for me at every distance and every terrain. FWIW in the lead group of a race last fall, everyone around me was wearing the Genesis. Another shoe you might like along these lines is the Hoka Torrent or Zinal, both plenty fast, but nowhere near the durability of either the kj...

after 1200km in these, i thought it was time for an update. all i can say is wow...these are the best shoes i have ever experienced. they've changed my running life - and that's no exaggeration. I've done technical 50k races, huge alpine days, taken them through environments that would have shredded 4 pairs of hokas by now. and despite all that, they still little sign of wear, tons of tread left, no holes/tears/scratches anywhere to the upper...i don't know how its possible but nnormal did it! i seriousl...
Hey Craig, super happy my review was helpful to you! I found the genesis to be true to my Kjerag size (size 10 US in both) - very spot on and perfect. For my foot, there is slightly more volume in the Genesis and a wider midfoot compared to the Kjerag at the same size, though I didn't notice any length difference. The quicklace system and deep heel pocket keep my foot locked in without any play.

edit 2: after awhile, the upper completely breaks in and conforms to your foot like the most perfectly comfortable running sock you've ever worn. so, having said that, there is now essentially nothing i would change about this shoe!
Lately, I'm 90% of the time wearing Nnormal Kjerags on my feet, but I was intrigued by the s/lab genesis purported accommodating fit (uncommon for Salomon) and nice stack height/durable-looking build for big days out in technical, rocky terrain. These shoes truly deliver - and I'm surprised I'm the first to review them here. The fit is everything I hoped: wide enough toebox with wiggle room, even for my wide-ish toe line, a very comfortable midfoot that is neither aggressively narrow nor sloppily wide, an...
