Here’s my initial impression since this is a hard shoe to find/fit in the PNW. Compared to the Solomon speed cross this is a much less cushy shoe with a more mountaineering/boot like feel. And that’s what I was shooting for. Honestly I was hoping to find the goretex version for winter time ski approaches. As is, this shoe is not warm as again compared to the Solomon. It also has a much narrower fit. I had to order an 11.5, which is a whole size larger than the 10.5 I wear in both Solomon and salewa. ...
