Russell, The straps have a velcro adjustment on the inside of the strap.
Can't say on replaceability, we do not carry extra straps.

Using the Resort pole method of holding your forearm parallel to the ground is a good start.

Michael, If you compare the TSL to the regular Ultratrail poles, both using the 16mm /14mm pole diameters, the weight difference is pretty small.
Not going to say which is better, but the magnet does go in quite easily.
