My Running
I really like mountain terrain, ridges, steeps, scrambles, and don’t really mind the old bushwhack. If I’m in the alpine then I’m stoked. I’ve been running for almost two years and I’m currently training for an unsupported WURL.
My Gear
La Sportiva Bushido IIIs, Akasha IIs, and the Mutants. I use a Black Diamond Distance 8 (old gen) and Patagonia Slope Runner Exploration 3L vests. Black Diamond Distance poles and Black Diamond Venom LT ice axe.

I just picked one up from you guys the other day and took it for a run. Is it supposed to be nearly impossible to get the flask in while wearing the belt? I have to wrestle it out and back in each time I take a drink and it’s pretty frustrating especially considering how much praise the belt has gotten.

I went through a pair of the two’s last year and decided to pick up the three’s while I was building my shoe quiver for the season. The fit is really good after I broke them in and it only took around 30 miles. I don’t think that I’ll be getting another pair of Bushidos in the future though. The traction compared to my Mutants and Akashas is lacking and they also don’t seem to run as well as them. The only redeeming quality is that they are stable on off-camber surfaces and have great traction on snow. They...
